Czech Meatballs

One of my favorite ways to make meatballs is using ground pork. It adds that little bit of extra moisture, especially when you want to avoid making a sauce along with them! This recipe from Well Fed is quickly becoming one of my favorites, it’s super tasty, I’m sure you will enjoy it!

Czech Meatballs from Well Fed

Ingredients:

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 cup fresh parsley leaves, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp grainy mustard
  • 2 lbs ground pork

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F. Cover a large baking sheet in parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the garlic, salt, caraway seeds, paprika, pepper, parsley, mustard & egg with a fork until combined. With your hands, crumble the pork into the bowl and knead until all of the ingredients are incorporated.
  3. Moisten your hands with water and shake to remove excess. Measure a level tablespoon of pork and roll into a ball between your palms. Line up the meatballs like little soldiers on the prepared baking sheet, about 1/2 inch apart.
  4. Slide the meatballs into the oven and bake for 20-25 minute, until golden brown and cooked through.
